This day just goes on and on. I played a show on my Chapman Stick
in Hlemmur square from around 10- midnight but it seemed like the afternoon. The sun barely dipped below the horizon between midnight and one. I have not slept much since Sunday night. Monday night I packed, Tuesday after adventures with tornadoes at DIA I got onto a Boeing 757 and 6 1/2 hours later I was in Iceland at 6:30 in this morning.
I wasn't tired today, just focussed on finding a new mixer. I walked to a couple music stores in Reykjavik...Andres, the owner of the second store made it his mission to help me. He drove me to an other store, then to his warehouse, then had his employee drive me around and I eventually I found a new mixer which I successfully used (for what I would later found would be my only real decent show in Reykjavik). Amazingly before the show I found a Mexican restaurant with a waitress Julia that would become my friend and a kind chef who took a liking to my gig and offered to provide me free great vegetarian food for my entire visit in Reykjavik.

I was glad I got to see this amazing country. It's clean and beautiful, there is literally hot spring water just coming out the tap, the air is clean, the feeling of being on top of the world is totally real and the shows were pretty relaxed- (maybe too relaxed but it was a perfect beginning to the tour).
Tomorrow I will fly to Oslo. Lots of love and gratitude to my new friends in Reykjavik, Iceland....
My new album Golden Waves is now available! Check it out here.
